Physical Exam Findings
• Areas of partial or full-thickness mucosal ulceration adjacent to the lateral edges of the upper cheek teeth and lingual edges of the lower cheek teeth that are painful to the touch (in some cases).
• Healed ulcers may present as slightly depressed, irregularly shaped areas in the cheek that are subjectively thickened on palpation.
