• Atresia coli is the result of incomplete formation of the intestinal tract, but the cause is unknown.
• OLWS is caused by a genetic mutation resulting in abnormal autonomic innervation of the intestinal tract.
• Meconium impactions are caused by large amounts or very sticky and tenacious meconium.
