Causes of Abnormally High Levels
• Hyperglycemic glucosuria (eg, pituitary pars intermedia dysfunction [PPID], Cushing’s disease, and rarely diestrus)
• Renal glucosuria (normoglycemic glucosuria) due to defective renal tubular resorption resulting from tubular abnormalities or damage
